Mentor Series: Quebec

Lovely weather, expert assistance, precision planning, and a photo-rich environment made this trek extraordinary. Our professional mentors, Reed Hoffman and Deanne Fitzmaurice were available and helpful at all times during the trek. All photo activities were executed exactly as planned. After our introductory session on the first day, we traveled to Parc National Jacques-Cartier to photograph spectacular views of mountains, forests, and streams northeast of Quebec City, later that evening we took a evening boat ride along Saint Lawrence river to capture the stunning views of Chateau Frontenac at night. The second day we traveled to Ile d’Orleans, an island surrounded by the Saint Lawrence River, to photograph farmland, a marine museum, apple orchards and vineyards on the island. In the afternoon, we returned to photograph many sites and landmarks in the old city of Quebec. On the third day, we traveled to Montmorency Falls to photograph the falls from many different vantage points. During the entire trek, Reed and Deanne were available to assist with framing, camera settings, lighting, and all other aspects of photographic technology. They both went out of their way to ensure that we received all the assistance we needed and that all questions were answered. Their thoughtful reviews of our photographic efforts were immensely helpful. I learned more than I thought possible in just a few days. I also learned to appreciate French-speaking Canada and look forward to a return visit. Thank you Mentor Series for making this experience possible. I am looking forward to my next trek in Tuscon, Az.
